April 2022 Whatcom County Market Update

The last few months of local real estate have been fairly frantic and these infographics made by Windermere are a good visual summary of our local Whatcom County market – both year over year and April 2022 sales. While we all feel the effects of rising inflation, stock market adjustments and increased interest rates, the upside is that the real estate market is calming down slightly,  which can be favorable for home buyers in what is a very competitive market. Prices are slightly cooling, there are less offers per home, and we aren’t seeing as many significantly over-asking offers. The good news is that in the last few weeks, we’ve helped some of our first time home buyers find new homes at the right price!
