I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I have the coolest clients! My hope over the next several months is to showcase some of the rad people I’ve had the pleasure of doing business with. First up: Becca and Jadyn, who own Life Force Ninja in Bellingham. What is Life Force Ninja? It’s a fantastic indoor gym facility that boasts a ninja-type playground (think American Ninja Warrior!) where kids and adults get to challenge themselves on different obstacles. They offer open gym time, training classes, home school programs, and so much more! My assistant Kat’s son loves the summer camps they offer.
I have helped Becca and Jadyn buy and sell, and buy again, their personal residences here in Bellingham as well as helped them lease different properties for their indoor ninja gym facility. I asked them to share some info about themselves, so here’s more about these 2 great people that not only call Bellingham home, but also run a successful business that is a great asset to kids and adults here in our beautiful city.
How long have you been in Bellingham? We’ve been here about 15 years. Becca moved here to attend
Western Washington University, and Jadyn moved here post-college for a job at
Fanatik Bike Co and for the recreation opportunities in Bellingham.
Favorite activities in Bellingham? Mountain biking, disc golf, skiing/snowboarding, hiking, hanging out by the water…the list goes on!
How did Life Force Ninja come to be? How did you get into the sport and subsequently decide to open the gym? About five years ago, we watched the show “
Ultimate Beastmaster” on Netflix. We both thought it looked super fun, then we found the show
American Ninja Warrior. At this point, we had already begun our fitness journey in
Crossfit, and we were always looking for new and interesting ways to move. The dynamic nature of ninja appealed to us, so we started seeking out places to train. The first ninja gym we attended was in
Port Coquitlam, BC. Aside from that, there really wasn’t anywhere remotely nearby to train ninja. Naturally, we began tossing the idea around of starting our own ninja gym. We travelled the country visiting other ninja gyms, generating ideas of what we liked and what we would want our gym to look and feel like. The community aspect of some of the gyms we visited was inspiring, something we would certainly strive for within our future gym. As we got more serious, it came time to reach out to
Jason Loeb to help us find a space. We expected this to be a long process, but in reality, it only took a few weeks before he found us a space, and we jumped on it. Four months later,
Life Force Ninja opened its doors!
Any fun facts about either of you, or your business that would be fun to share? We love all things involving movement! Ninja is special as it is incredibly dynamic, and doesn’t require you to buy a bunch of equipment to participate. You just need your body…and a super sweet ninja facility!
